CASHMERE

Cashmere quality

Cashmere is considered one of the finest fashion materials. This natural fiber is obtained by shearing the goat, Capra Hircus.

Only quality control under the electronic microscope shows how fine the cashmere hair really is.

The fineness or cross-sectional size is given in microns or millimeters. The finer the hair, the higher the quality. The diameter of particularly fine hair varies between 14 and 17 microns. Fine merino wool is around 19 microns, normal new wool is 22 microns.

For comparison, human hair is 80 microns thick. Next to the fine cashmere hair, it looks as thick as a branch.

This microscopic structure gives our cashmere its unique properties: soft, delicate, breathable, insulating, durable - these features make the “Gentle Gold” so special.
